WiFi on Asus 1201N

To be honest, I haven’t had my WiFi working since I bought my netbook. I needn’t have had such an option, because I don’t have WiFi at home, I don’t have to connect to the Internet at school and I haven’t been outside my town last time. But when it turned out I had to go to Warsaw, which is a capital city of Poland, I realised installing WiFi driver is really necessary. So I did it.

Chrome is not Open Source

It is said that Google Chrome was Open Source, but it is NOT. There is a source code of Chromium, but that is entirely different case. Are you interested why? Because Chromium source code is published on BSD licence, so everyone can participate in programming this project, but everyone else can take this code and use it in closed-source application as Google does with Chrome.

Security hole on linuxpl.com servers

Not so long ago, I found an issue, kinda security hole on linuxpl.com servers. There is a mechanism that tries to lock users in home folders of theirs. But I succeeded in passing this lock. And because I spotted that, I got into others’ folders, their files etc. Really, really bad, but I, of course, notified the administration and everything works well now.
